"content": "Shipping & Delivery Last updated: August 2026 Where we deliver We deliver to every postcode in Switzerland. What it costs Express delivery is a flat CHF 22. Orders of CHF 50 or more are delivered free. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and it is charged as a delivery option rather than as a line item, so a discount code only ever reduces the price of the goods. How long it takes Allow 5 to 7 days. Screens are prepared to order rather than picked off a shelf, which is what takes the time. We will tell you if anything is going to run longer than that. Tracking Every order ships with tracking. You get a link by email as soon as your order leaves us. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number and we will resend it. If a parcel is late, lost or damaged Until the goods reach you, the risk is ours: we carry it until the goods are handed to you, which we commit to here rather than relying on the Art. 185 OR default. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us with your order number and we sort it out, either by replacing the order or refunding it. You do not need to chase the carrier yourself. Getting your address right Please check the delivery address before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could take delivery, we will resend it, though a second delivery charge may apply.",

"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated: August 2026 Our 14-day return policy We give you 14 days from the day your order arrives to change your mind and send it back. This is our own policy, offered because we would rather you bought with confidence. Switzerland has no statutory cooling-off period for online orders, so we want to be straight with you: this is a promise we make, not a right the law gives you. To start a return, email theteam@magneticscreens.ch with your order number within those 14 days. Once we reply with the return address, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back. What you get back We refund the price you paid for the goods, using the same payment method you used, within 14 days of the return reaching us. You pay the cost of sending it back, and the original delivery charge is not refunded on a change of mind. The screen needs to come back in a condition we can resell. Unrolling one and offering it up to the window is completely fine, and we expect you to do that. Cutting it to size is not, because at that point nobody else can use it. Screens made to your measurements If we make a screen to measurements you give us, for example through our quote service, it is made for your window and nobody else's. Our 14-day change-of-mind policy does not apply to it once we have started making it, and we say so on the quote form before you order. A standard size that you cut down yourself at home is a different thing: those keep the full 14 days until you cut them. This does not affect your rights if a made-to-measure item is faulty. Those are set out below and we honour them either way. If something is faulty This part is not a policy, it is the law. Under the warranty for defects in the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 197 to 210 OR) we are liable if what we send you is defective or not as described. The limitation period is two years from delivery (Art. 210(1) OR), and on a sale to a consumer it cannot be shortened below that (Art. 210(4) OR). Please check your order when it arrives and tell us about any defect as soon as you find it, which is the notification duty in Art. 201 OR. Contact us and we will put it right at no cost to you, and we cover return postage on faulty items. How to start a return Email theteam@magneticscreens.ch with your order number and tell us whether you are changing your mind or reporting a fault. We reply with the return address and the next step. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us, so your parcel does not go astray. If we cannot agree Contact us first and we will do our best to sort it out directly. Switzerland has no general consumer arbitration scheme for online retail, so if a dispute cannot be resolved between us it goes to the ordinary Swiss courts. As a consumer you may bring a claim at the court for your own place of residence. The Swiss consumer protection organisations, among them the Stiftung für Konsumentenschutz, publish free guidance on your options.",

"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated: August 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Magnetic Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit magneticscreens.ch or buy from us. We handle your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / nDSG), in force since 1 September 2023. Who is responsible The controller for your data is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Magnetic Screens. Our Swiss address and our registered address are both on the Imprint page. You can reach us about anything on this page at theteam@magneticscreens.ch . What we collect and why Order data. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and order contents. We need these to perform the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who are the ones handling card data. Enquiry data. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so we can answer you. This is also contract performance, or our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics data. Only if you consent. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to change your mind (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). How long we keep it Order records are kept for as long as Swiss commercial and tax law requires, which is generally up to ten years under section 147 of the Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung) and section 257 of the Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch). Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them. Who we share it with Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. They act as processors on our instructions, or as controllers in their own right where they set their own purposes, as payment providers do. We do not sell your data. Some of these providers process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Your rights You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before you withdrew it (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise any of these rights, email us at theteam@magneticscreens.ch . We respond within the timeframe the GDPR requires, which is normally one month. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland that is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in German the Eidgenössischer Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragter (EDÖB): edoeb.admin.ch . The FDPIC is a single federal authority: in Switzerland there is no separate cantonal data protection authority for a private company, so this is the only body to write to. Security The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.",

"summary": "The terms that apply when you use the website and buy from Magnetic Screens.",
"content": "Terms & Conditions Last updated: August 2026 These Terms & Conditions govern your use of magneticscreens.ch and any purchase you make from Magnetic Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our full provider details are on the Imprint page. How a contract is formed The products shown on this site are an invitation to you to place an order, not a binding offer. Your order is the offer. A contract comes into being when we accept it, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email or by dispatching the goods, whichever happens first. Our pre-contract information duties follow UWG Art. 3(1)(s), which requires an online supplier to identify itself clearly and to state the essential terms before you order. Prices and payment All prices are in euro and include Swiss VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay: CHF 22 flat, or free on orders of CHF 50 and over. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal. We do not store your full card details. Where a product shows a previous price alongside the current one, the previous price is the price this shop charged for that item before the current offer. If a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing error, we will tell you before dispatch and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel at no cost. Delivery We deliver throughout Switzerland. Times, costs and what to do if a parcel goes missing are on the Shipping page. Cutting a screen to size Every standard screen is designed to be cut down at home to fit your own opening. Order the size above your measurement. Once you have cut a screen it cannot be returned as unwanted, though your rights over faulty goods are unaffected. Screens we make to your measurements are covered separately on the Refunds & Returns page. Your right of withdrawal We give you 14 days to change your mind. This is our own policy, not a statutory right: Switzerland has no cooling-off period for online orders, because the revocation right in Art. 40a-40f OR covers doorstep and telephone sales only. The full explanation, including the exemption for goods made to your specification, is on the Refunds & Returns page. Faults and guarantees The statutory warranty for defects under Art. 197 to 210 OR gives you two years from delivery (Art. 210(1) OR), and it cannot be shortened on a consumer sale (Art. 210(4) OR). Nothing in these terms limits that, or any other right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement. Acceptable use Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, no scraping it for a competing catalogue, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do. Our liability Our liability is set out on the Limited Liability Indemnity page. Nothing there or here excludes liability for injury to life, body or health, for intent or gross negligence, or under the Swiss Product Liability Act (Produktehaftpflichtgesetz, PrHG). Changes to these terms We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by Swiss law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in that would otherwise apply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We are not obliged to take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and do not currently do so, but we would much rather settle any dispute with you directly, so please contact us first.",
